1. Introducing the exam

Telc (short for The European Language Certificate) - European language certificate. This is a test that assesses the language proficiency according to the European reference frame (CEFR). Telc is widely recognized in many countries, especially German speaking countries.

SHD Education German Language and Culture Joint Stock Company (Vietnam) cooperates with Leipziger Education and Vocational Company (Leipziger Gesellschaft für Bildung und Arbeit mbH, Germany) to organize the B1 international certificate exam. Every year, SHD Education receives over 1,500 candidates to register for the B1 international certification exam, which is usually held monthly.

2. Why should you choose the Telc exam?

1. Comprehensive exam structure:

Telc focuses on evaluating four skills "Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing". The content of the Examination Exam is diversified, daily context to professional fields to check the level of using the language of the candidate.

Telc does not calculate the paralysis for each skill, the total score of the test is based on a scale, with a score of 60% (180/300).

3. Register for the TELC B1 exam at SHD Education

4.2 Scoring method

Telc exam Independent assessment of each skill using German language. Telc's scoring method ensures fairness, allowing scoring compensation between skills.

+ Writing section (Schriftliche prüfung): Minimum requirements of 135 points/ 225 points

+ Speaking (Mündlich Prüfung): Minimum requirements 45 points/ 75 points

Excellent (Sehr Gut): 270-300 points

Good (Gut): 240-269.5 points

Fair (beFriedigend): 210-239.5 points

Dat (Ausreichend): 180-209 points

4.3 How to match

Telc transplantation is a form that allows candidates to retake a part of the Telc test, if the results have not been achieved.

Note: 

  • In case of equal transplantation, students need to send a scan of skilled skills to the center (a maximum period of 12 months to the time of the exam).

6. Notes for candidates when taking the exam

+ Time of arrival: Candidates must be present on time as notified by the examination board. Late arrival after the pre-exam instruction time of the invigilator will result in refusal to take the exam. This will be considered as a candidate dropping out of the exam and the fee will not be refunded in this case.

+ Identification documents: Candidates must have their passport or ID card with them when taking the exam so that the invigilator can verify their identity. If they forget or refuse to provide their passport/ID card, they will be refused entry to the exam and will be considered as having skipped the exam.

+ Documents: Candidates are not allowed to use dictionaries, textbooks, materials, sample papers or notes (including during breaks between the written and spoken exams). Therefore, candidates are requested to leave these materials at home.

+ Support equipment and personal belongings: Candidates are not permitted to use mobile phones, wristwatches, smartwatches, smart glasses and other electronic devices during the entire test period (including breaks between written and oral tests). These devices will be stored together with bags, jackets and backpacks in the storage area until all tests are completed.

+ Food and drinks: Candidates should prepare snacks and drinks in their backpacks or bags. During the exam, candidates are only allowed to bring into the exam room one transparent bottle of water with the label removed. During the break, candidates are allowed to consume food.

+ Writing instruments: Candidates do not need to prepare any writing materials. The examination board has prepared everything candidates need to take the exam.

+ Thi said: Candidates will take the test in pairs. Each pair will have 20 minutes of preparation time. The test will last 15-20 minutes. During the preparation time, candidates are not allowed to talk to each other. After finishing the test, candidates will leave all scratch paper and test materials in the test room, move silently to the storage area, collect their personal belongings and immediately leave the test center.

+ Relatives: Relatives are not allowed in the examination area during the examination. Candidates with relatives are requested to ask them to wait at another location (school yard, nearby cafe, etc.)
